"211 Cultures. One Game" – the member associations’ gallery opens at the FIFA Museum
FIFA has announced the opening of the "211 Cultures. One Game." gallery at the FIFA Museum in Zurich. The exhibition, showcasing artefacts provided by all affiliated member associations, will be open until August 2023. The San Marino Football Federation has also helped enrich this major display of football-related works and artefacts, as well as items reflecting the culture of the country itself. In doing so, the FSGC has placed at the disposal of the FIFA Museum in Zurich the crossbow bolt used in May 2018 during the official presentation of the San Marino national team kits for the following two-year international cycle. This object is deeply rooted in Sammarinese tradition, culture and territory, immediately evoking the medieval heritage that can be felt in the Cava dei Balestrieri and admired, month after month, in the local craftsmen and women who keep Sammarinese traditions alive, and who are recognised as excellences even beyond San Marino’s borders in Italy. For San Marino football, this special bolt – created in collaboration with the Federazione Balestrieri Sammarinesi – carries the profound symbolism of a return to the original colours of the national flag, worn like a second skin by the players of the San Marino national teams on pitches all over Europe and – on certain occasions – even beyond the Old Continent.
