The flagship facility of San Marino football is also the home of the San Marino national team and the Under-21 side for international matches played under UEFA jurisdiction. With regard to continental competitions, it is worth noting that San Marino clubs competing in Europe also play their home matches on the Serravalle pitch. Although it is sometimes criticised for being underused, data actually show more than 70 uses over the course of a calendar year: on average, this corresponds to a match, training session, or event every five days, concentrated around international windows, whether for national teams or clubs. The San Marino Stadium has recently hosted the final of the San Marino Championship play-offs, as well as the Coppa Titano final and the San Marino Super Cup.

It goes without saying that routine and extraordinary maintenance work is meticulously planned, even when it requires difficult compromises. For example, in June 2023 it became necessary to renew the playing surface through the removal of the topsoil and the subsequent installation of top dressing and new “Bermuda” grass plants, which make up the hybrid pitch of the San Marino Stadium (FIFA Quality Pro certified). This type of intervention is scheduled on a four-year cycle and led to the relocation of San Marino’s national team match against Kazakhstan to a neutral venue – exceptionally the Ennio Tardini stadium in Parma. Changes were also made to the perimeter areas: the warm-up zones used by players during official matches were completely renovated with FIFA Quality Pro synthetic turf in July 2024, while the dugouts were upgraded to a total of twenty-three seats. These works were completed last summer and, in the latter case, also complied with a regulatory change in the UEFA Competition Regulations published just a month earlier.

Inside the stadium, it is also worth mentioning the naming of the press room in honour of the San Marino Olympians of Tokyo 2020. This celebration took place in December 2021, the year of the Tokyo Olympic Games, in the presence of Alessandra Perilli, Gian Marco Berti and Paolo Persoglia – protagonists of the Tokyo Olympics alongside Mularoni and Valloni, who were unfortunately absent due to sporting commitments and were represented by the President of the Wrestling and Judo Federation and the Secretary General of the Swimming Federation. The host, the President of the Football Federation, introduced the theme of the event, which centred on the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by the three San Marino Olympians present.

Built on the site of the former Serravalle stadium, constructed in 1969 and inaugurated the following year, it originally featured a single covered stand (South Stand). Subsequently, for the 2001 Games of the Small States of Europe, the current North Stand was built, within which are located the San Marino Museum of Olympism, offices, work areas for journalists and photographers, and a hospitality area. The total capacity of the facility is 4,496 seats, of which approximately 3,600 are covered. Ten TV boxes and an outdoor studio, along with a press stand of around 60 seats, complete the services in the stand. The stand is directly connected to the Service Tower, inaugurated in 2013 and funded by FIFA and UEFA. Inside there are four team dressing rooms and two for referees, as well as a storage room, several offices and medical clinics, a gym, and a physiotherapy centre. These services are part of Vis et Salus, located on the second floor of the stadium service tower, a fully equipped centre for physiotherapy and post-injury treatment, as well as – thanks to an adjoining gym – for managing a gradual return to competitive activity (inaugurated in 2014).

The Serravalle B sports complex, whose construction site was launched in 2021, would deserve a novel for the events that have shaped its development: unexploded wartime ordnance and a crisis in raw material prices are just some of the unforeseen and unforeseeable events that have occurred over the past three years. As originally planned, the indoor futsal arena with 900 seats (expandable to around 1,000) – the first project phase – was due to be inaugurated in 2022, but it is now expected to be delivered in the first months of 2026.

Following a revision of the delivery schedule, the adjacent Serravalle B football pitch will therefore be the first facility to be completed, featuring a fully renovated design with a covered stand (1,600 seats) and changing rooms. A major-scale project that is soon to become reality: works have in fact resumed with the diligent commitment of the companies involved. The episode linked to the discovery of a World War II unexploded bomb, which required the intervention of the Italian Army bomb disposal units, will long remain etched in the memory of generations of San Marino citizens. On Sunday 11 February 2024, the controlled detonation of the bomb was carried out, forcing all residents within a 352-metre radius of the discovery site to evacuate their homes in advance.

The Acquaviva stadium is among the most recent football facilities in the territory of San Marino. Inaugurated in January 2019, it is equipped with floodlighting and a FIFA Quality PRO synthetic pitch. The covered stand can host up to 500 seated spectators, with a dedicated press area and three TV boxes. In 2024, an uncovered away section was added, accommodating 210 spectators, bringing the total capacity to 730. The building includes four team dressing rooms and one for referees, as well as a press room and an office. On the ground floor there are also storage rooms, medical facilities, and anti-doping areas. The Acquaviva stadium is the reference venue for the women’s first team, which has played here in Serie A and Serie B. Behind the main stand there is a small futsal pitch, occasionally used for matches in the San Marino Championship and the Titano Futsal Cup.

Freshly inaugurated at the end of summer 2024, the “Ezio Conti” stadium in Dogana underwent a true infrastructural overhaul. Of the two rooms previously used as changing rooms, only one was retained and will now be used as a storage area. Where the twin building once stood, there is now a covered stand with over 200 seats and a dedicated press area in a raised central position. The dressing rooms for teams playing in Dogana are located within the stand structure itself, slightly below pitch level. A few steps are therefore required for players and referees stepping onto the artificial turf of the Ezio Conti – creating a particularly engaging and impressive effect. The original facility, dedicated to the memory of the former Juvenes-Dogana player and official, was built in 1981. As in the Domagnano, Fiorentino and Acquaviva facilities, there is an adjacent futsal pitch (an uncovered stand with 99 seats) which hosts San Marino indoor football competitions.

The Domagnano stadium underwent a replacement of the playing surface on the entire “Monte Titano side” half of the pitch between October and November 2024. The extraordinary works ordered by the FSGC aim to address, hopefully once and for all, the long-standing subsidence problem that has affected this facility almost since its inception. The pitch measures 100x64 and has been converted to artificial turf. Equipped with floodlighting, the adjacent area also includes a futsal pitch – used for San Marino competitions – and a changing room facility with three dressing rooms and a technical room. Due to the participation of the San Marino Academy Women’s Primavera team in top-level competitions, counterparts from Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma and Lazio – among others – have played on this pitch over the years.

Started at the beginning of summer 2024, the renewal of the synthetic playing surface was completed within a few weeks, bringing new life to the scheduled activity at the facility named after Guido Della Valle, a historic Faetano club official. The old surface, by then worn out, was removed before restoring the sub-base – ensuring a solid, even and well-draining foundation. New irrigation systems were then installed, along with anti-injury protective padding to ensure athlete safety against potential impacts with perimeter fencing. The renovation also included the benches, improving infrastructure for players and staff compared to previous solutions. Finally, a new FIFA-certified pitch was laid, complete with a performance underlay and natural infill, ensuring high-quality playing conditions in terms of both gameplay and durability. The Faetano stadium recently passed its fiftieth year of activity, having been built in 1974.

At the Falciano facility, which regularly hosts most of the regular season matches of the Under-12 San Marino Championship, a careful structural intervention was initiated and completed. On the side overlooking the valley, the ground had begun to give way over the years. The Football Federation promptly responded by installing a retaining wall capable of securing the affected area of the pitch. In addition, the playing surface was fully renewed, providing young San Marino players with an ideal artificial pitch on which to showcase their talent.

The “Federico Crescentini” stadium in Fiorentino is the second-largest venue in the Republic of San Marino, at least until the completion of the new Serravalle B facility, and is used for youth matches and San Marino competitions, also having long hosted the San Marino Super Cup final. It is located in the Castello of Fiorentino and for many years represented the main reference stadium in San Marino. Equipped with floodlighting, it can boast a capacity of over 700 seats, including 375 in the covered stand. The dugouts, traditionally located on the side opposite the main stand, have been completely renovated and relocated to the side. This intervention was no longer postponable given the condition and discomfort of the previous seating, which was also no longer sufficient to accommodate large squads during official matches. The next planned intervention by the Football Federation concerns the refurbishment of the dressing rooms. In the adjacent area there is also a futsal pitch, used for San Marino competitions and which hosted – until a few years ago – the finals of the San Marino Championship, Titano Futsal Cup, and futsal Super Cup. Since April 2008 the stadium has been dedicated to the memory of Federico Crescentini, a San Marino footballer who tragically passed away in Mexico in 2006.

Lo stadium of Montecchio has a 600-seat uncovered stand. Built in 1984, it was converted into a synthetic pitch in 2008 and equipped with new lighting, as well as integrated stands and dugouts. It hosts national and international matches, including a UEFA Champions League preliminary round and several finals of the San Marino Championship and Coppa Titano. In 2025, together with Acquaviva, it was one of the venues hosting the UEFA Regions' Cup 2024–25 final tournament. For the occasion, a media box with three dedicated workspaces for journalists, cameramen, and commentators was installed. On the ground floor of the Casa del Calcio (FSGC headquarters, located next door) there are four dressing rooms, a medical room, anti-doping facilities, offices, and a relaxation area. The Montecchio stadium has also obtained FIFA certification for its playing surface in September 2024. As for the Federation’s institutional headquarters, the main intervention concerned the external flooring: the staircase, as well as all access areas to the FSGC, were replaced and improved in 2024.

The works to replace the playing surfaces at the Montegiardino and Faetano facilities proceeded in parallel. Started at the beginning of summer 2024, the renovation was completed within a few weeks, bringing new life to the scheduled activities at both venues. The old playing surface was removed, by then worn out, before restoring the sub-base – ensuring a solid, even and well-draining foundation. The Borgo Maggiore pitch was built in 1932. It is one of the oldest sporting facilities in San Marino, as well as the site where the first documented organised football activity emerged. Renovated with the conversion of the playing surface into artificial turf in 2004, it is equipped with floodlighting. The pitch measures 70×33 metres. In the past it hosted summer tournaments promoted by the Football Federation, but the facility is currently managed directly by CONS and is no longer among the venues used for FSGC activities, either at Grassroots or amateur level.

The Multieventi Sport Domus, built in 1998, is the main multifunctional sports arena in San Marino and its activity calendar is managed by the San Marino National Olympic Committee. Inside the facility there is an Olympic swimming pool, two gyms, and numerous service infrastructures such as food & beverage areas and multipurpose spaces, as well as the headquarters and offices of CONS. Many San Marino sports federations use the facility for national and international events: as far as the FSGC is concerned, the Multieventi Sport Domus has hosted regular season matches and playoff games of San Marino futsal competitions, as well as UEFA Futsal U19 European Championship qualifying tournaments. The arena can accommodate up to 1,200 spectators, and the parquet playing surface measures 44 x 22 metres.
