Referees: Beltrano and Cristiano in Romania for the Under-17 Elite Round

First international experience for Michele Beltrano who, together with assistant referee Ernesto Cristiano, was among the protagonists of the Uefa Under-17 Elite Round mini-tournament held in Romania from 19 to 27 March. The ASA referee took charge of the Group 2 opener between Wales and Romania, with Cristiano serving as his international assistant, and also of the match between Bulgaria and Wales. Beltrano was additionally appointed as fourth official for Bulgaria-Romania, with Cristiano once again involved as assistant. The Sammarinese flag, in addition to the aforementioned matches, was also present in the game between Romania and Sweden. Another international appointment for Cristiano Ascari, who was named UEFA delegate for the Under-21 match between England and Luxembourg. In the game, played last night in Bolton at the Toughsheet Community Stadium (home of Bolton Wanderers), the hosts ran out comfortable 7-0 winners.
