Referees: exchange of officials between San Marino and Gibraltar already this weekend

A new chapter of the Referee Exchange Programme is about to be written, both for football and futsal. This weekend, in fact, a Gibraltar refereeing team of four will be on the Titan, appointed to take charge of two fixtures scheduled over the weekend in the 20th matchday of the 2025-26 Campionato Sammarinese.

Referees Israel Fosela Del Poyo and Jose Antonio Diaz will oversee Pennarossa-Tre Penne (Saturday, 15:00) and Fiorentino-Folgore (Sunday, 15:00) respectively, alternating as fourth official. Assistant referees Mario Morales Jimenez and Esteban Cabrera Noguera will be involved, inevitably, in both of the aforementioned matches.

At the same time, a San Marino team of four has flown to Gibraltar. In the shadow of the Rock, it will this time be the turn of Andrea Righi (referee for Lions Gibraltar-St. Joseph’s, Saturday at 19:30) and Mattia Andruccioli (appointed to Hound Dogs-Glacis United, Sunday at 16:30). The two ASA-listed officials will be assisted by Laura Cordani and Alfonso Gallo. The state overlooking the Strait of the same name has also been the destination for Daniele D’Adamo and Mattia Mazza: the futsal referees will be involved in local futsal league fixtures Bavaria-Lynx (Saturday, 18:00) and Europa-Inter Gibraltar (Sunday, 16:00).
