Championship: post-season kicks off tomorrow with the Preliminary Round

With the regular season already in the books, it is time to move into the post-season of the Campionato Sammarinese 2025-26. Tomorrow evening the two fixtures of the Preliminary Round are scheduled, the gateway to the play-offs proper, which will get under way on Saturday 2 May with the first legs of the quarter-finals.

If the scores are level at the end of the 90 minutes, the team that finished higher in the regular season will advance to the next round. In Dogana – kick-off at 20:45 – Cosmos and Pennarossa will go head to head. The Gialloverdi come into the game on the back of a convincing win over Faetano last Sunday and will also have two results out of three in their favour, thanks to their better league position compared to the Biancorossi. The side from Macerata secured eleventh place only on the final matchday thanks to a draw with the reigning champions Tre Fiori. Therefore, the Chiesanuova club have no option but to win if they are to reach the quarter-finals, as they did on 12 April thanks to match-winner Socciarelli. In the regular season, the Biancorossi also remained unbeaten against Cosmos (one win and one draw).

At the same time, but at the Acquaviva ground, Juvenes Dogana and Libertas face off. It promises to be a finely balanced contest between the Serravalle club (ninth at the end of the regular season) and the Borgo Maggiore side (tenth). Buda’s team will therefore have to win to progress, with the two previous meetings this season favouring the Granata. Two narrow victories, both home and away in the regular season (goals by Fabio Tomassini and Enea Senja). Libertas, however, are winless in three, while Juvenes Dogana are on a positive run and have not lost since 8 April. In addition to Titani.tv, the match between Juvenes Dogana and Libertas will also be streamed on the FIFA+ platform. The teams that go through will meet in the quarter-finals either Virtus or Tre Penne: the side with the better regular-season finish will take on the Biancazzurri from Città, while the lower-ranked side will face the Neroverdi from Acquaviva (matches scheduled for Sunday 3/5 at 15:00 and 18:00).
