BKN301 Championship: La Fiorita perfect, winning debut for Tre Penne
The second matchday of the BKN301 San Marino Championship opened on Friday night with the big clash in Fiorentino between Folgore and La Fiorita. The Montegiardino side, already victorious on the opening day against Cailungo, managed to clinch all three points at the death thanks to Fatica’s winning header just minutes from time, keeping hold of top spot and their clean sheet. The Falciano side, meanwhile, remain stuck on one point, earned on the first day against Libertas, and fail to find the net for the second game in a row.
It was the Borgo Maggiore Granata who, in today’s early kick-off, claimed their first three points of the season against Faetano (3-1). Gabriele Cardini’s team went behind in Acquaviva on 57 minutes to a fine goal from Fall, but the double yellow for Gianluca Ferrario on 76 minutes turned the match on its head. From the resulting move the Granata equalised through Sapori, then pulled away on 80 minutes with Pesaresi and wrapped it up with Olcese (85'). Faetano fail to bounce back after Tre Fiori’s four-goal haul and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
The only draw in Saturday’s early fixtures was between Juvenes-Dogana and Domagnano (1-1). After a cagey, uneventful first half, Manuel Amati’s team broke the deadlock at the start of the second half with a long-range effort from Davide Merli, who is now on three goals in two games. The Serravalle side, winners on their debut against Fiorentino, were unable to kill the game off, and Domagnano kept believing. The Giallorossi, coached by Simone Amadori, levelled on 84 minutes thanks to a close-range finish from Kevin Zonzini, who took advantage of a mistake by Gentilini as he came off his line.
Tre Penne opened their campaign with a win in their match against Cailungo (2-0). The team from Città, who sat out the opening day, went ahead from the penalty spot on 27 minutes through Luca Righini. On the half-hour Tre Penne were reduced to ten men after a straight red card for Luca Ceccaroli, but Cailungo failed to capitalise, and Tre Penne sealed it on 90 minutes thanks to last season’s top scorer, Imre Badalassi. In between, there was also a red card for Cailungo, with Biordi sent off on 75 minutes.
The Sunday schedule features San Giovanni-Cosmos (to be played at the Domagnano Stadium), Virtus-Tre Fiori (Montecchio Stadium) and Murata-Pennarossa (Fiorentino Stadium). All matches will kick off at 15:00 and will be available to watch free of charge – upon registration – on our streaming platform Titani.tv ( https://www.titani.tv/ ).
