BKN301 Championship: La Fiorita beaten, wins for Folgore, San Giovanni and Tre Fiori

Only wins in the early fixtures of matchday six of the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301. Chronologically, the headline result is without doubt the first defeat of the season for La Fiorita, who on Friday night in Acquaviva were beaten at the death by an in-form Virtus. The Neroverdi land the decisive blow just moments before the ninetieth minute: Comuniello delivers a perfect cross for Angeli, who gets there before everyone else and breaks the deadlock in the big match on 83 minutes. Just two minutes later Sopranzi wraps it up for the final 2-0. The Acquaviva side – now five games unbeaten across league and cup – move up to second place, just two points behind the Gialloblù of Montegiardino. The other Friday night curtain-raiser, between San Giovanni and Fiorentino, was a real thriller. The Rossoneri went in front early on thanks to a penalty from Greppi, but the Rossoblù hit back on 22 minutes with a thunderous strike from Dolcini that gave De Angelis no chance. Only eight minutes later San Giovanni nosed ahead again thanks to a long-range rocket from Celli to make it 2-1. Fiorentino refused to lie down and, shortly before the half-time whistle, equalised once more through Sottile, quick to pounce on a defensive indecision in the Rossoneri backline. Malandri’s team, still chasing their first league win, even took the lead through Castellazzi shortly after the restart (50'). However, the Rossoblù were reduced to ten men on 58 minutes: goalkeeper Luca Bianchi came out of his box and brought down Berardi – referee Avoni showed a straight red, leaving Fiorentino a man down. The dismissal proved costly, because in the 68th minute came the 3-3 equaliser – albeit via an unfortunate own goal by Filippi. San Giovanni kept believing and on 74 minutes Lisi, with a stunning strike into the top corner, scored the winner to secure all three points and a third consecutive league victory for the Rossoneri. In Saturday’s fixtures, Pennarossa-Tre Fiori undoubtedly stood out. Both sides were looking to bounce back from narrow defeats in the previous round, against Cosmos and Libertas respectively. Things immediately went the right way for the Gialloblù, who broke the deadlock on 12 minutes: Gjurchinoski burst away down the right and whipped in a cross that Simone Benedettini did get a hand to but could not clear far enough, allowing Andrea Tamagnini to arrive in the six-yard box and score his first goal of the season. Pennarossa reacted and on 26 minutes had a good chance through Stefanelli, who met a low cross from the right, but Semprini produced a fine reflex save. Shortly before the end of the first half, Alessandro Conti tried his luck from a long way out with a powerful, precise right-footed effort that crashed back off the crossbar. After the break, Tre Fiori – who in stoppage time also welcomed back De Falco after a long injury lay-off – protected their slender lead and secured three precious points. A big win instead for Folgore, who bounced back from defeat in the previous round against San Giovanni by beating Murata with a clear-cut 4-1. Almost everything happened in the first half: on 12 minutes the Falciano side were already ahead, Montanari finishing off a counter-attack by turning in Sartori’s cross and beating Manzaroli. Just three minutes later Folgore doubled their lead: Urbinati’s header from a corner found the net for 2-0. On 22 minutes came the third, again from Urbinati, timing his run perfectly through the Murata defence before beating Manzaroli for a second time. The pattern did not change after the interval: Folgore managed their three-goal cushion well and extended it to four on 64 minutes thanks to Mami, who powered through a fragile Murata backline to make it 4-0. In the closing stages, Murata’s consolation goal came from Gaiani, who converted a penalty. Tomorrow the final three matches will complete matchday six, all kicking off at 15:00 and live streamed on Titani.tv. Below is the schedule for matchday six:
