BKN301 Championship: fiery clashes in the last round of the year

A red-hot Matchday 13 will bring 2023 to a close in the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301. After Virtus’ first defeat of the season in the last round, the battle at the top has become even more compelling. The thirteenth round will in fact feature direct clashes right in the upper reaches of the table, starting with Cosmos-Murata, scheduled for Saturday in Acquaviva (kick-off at 15:00). Berardi’s Gialloverdi, after halting Virtus, are arguably the form side at the moment and have no intention of slowing down; the Bianconeri, currently fifth and two points ahead of Cosmos, are however winless in their last two outings. Three more matches will complete Saturday afternoon’s programme. San Giovanni, against bottom side Pennarossa, will be looking for more points to continue climbing a table that currently sees them in seventh place (match to be played in Domagnano). Just behind the Rossoneri are Faetano, back to winning ways in the last round, who will take on a Juvenes-Dogana side in full-blown crisis (Montecchio, 15:00). San Marino Academy and Domagnano, meanwhile, are both aiming to climb back into the play-off places (Fiorentino, 15:00), a target that is only a few points away for each of them. There is a single fixture scheduled for 18:15: on the artificial pitch in Acquaviva, Tre Fiori and Libertas will go head to head. De Falco’s Gialloblu want to stay firmly in the title race, while the Granata will try to build on last round’s win, which ended a long barren run. On Sunday it’s the turn of league leaders Virtus, still smarting after their defeat to Cosmos: Bizzotto’s Neroverdi want to get back to racking up goals and points to pull away from the chasing pack. They face Cailungo, with the match to be played in Acquaviva at 15:00. A win for the Acquaviva club could see them stretch their lead over their direct rivals, who will be battling it out in Montecchio. At the same time, Tre Penne and La Fiorita will meet in a must-watch encounter. On one side, the Montegiardino outfit, sitting second and just two points off the summit; just behind the Gialloblu are the reigning champions, a single point further back. Rounding off Sunday’s schedule – again at 15:00 – is the clash between Fiorentino and Folgore. The Falciano club hold a one-point advantage over the Rossoblu in a table that remains extremely tight (eight teams separated by just four points).
