League: Cailungo come to a sudden halt as Tre Fiori close in on second place

Cailungo’s attempt to reopen the door to the Preliminary Round comes to an end after two consecutive draws. Faetano, coming off a draw and a defeat, bounce back in emphatic fashion. In the end, it’s four goals that the Gialloblù put past the Rossoverdi, struck first by Tamburini at the very start of the second half and then finished off by the blows of Kalemi, Magno and Giardi. The post-season mission becomes complicated again for Protti’s men, while San Giovanni and Domagnano, facing each other in a direct clash, ultimately do not hurt each other and take another step away from the bottom three places in the Single Group. It ends goalless in Montecchio, with the Wolves staying on Fiorentino’s tail and the Rossoneri drawing level with Murata. Tre Fiori also pick up a win: they not only respond to Virtus’ charge – after their victory in the early fixture – but even set their sights on La Fiorita’s second place, now within one win’s reach. Juvenes-Dogana are unable to build on the point snatched from Virtus: Tre Fiori construct a 2-0 victory by scoring once in each half, first through Grani and then Lentini. Pennarossa also take all three points, putting three past Cosmos while keeping a clean sheet.
