San Marino Championship - 20 February 2026

League: Tre Penne v Tre Fiori, Virtus eye top spot

The 22nd matchday could prove crucial in the title race in the 2025-26 Campionato Sammarinese. On Sunday afternoon in Montecchio, league leaders Tre Fiori take on Tre Penne – currently third – while Virtus, just one point behind the Gialloblù, travel to Dogana to face Faetano. All eyes will therefore be on the big match between Girolomoni’s side – still unbeaten but showing a slight dip after two draws last week – and Bonini’s team, who come into it on the back of nine games without defeat. The reverse fixture finished 0-0, a result that would suit neither side on Sunday: Tre Fiori want to stay top and need all three points, while a potential Tre Penne win – they are six points adrift – would firmly thrust the Biancoazzurri back into the title picture.

The team best placed to capitalise on the head-to-head is clearly Virtus. The Neroverdi are favourites against Faetano and, should they take all three points while Tre Fiori fail to win, they would move back into first place. Sunday’s hosts in Dogana are a Faetano side with a stop-start campaign who have not won since 7 February, in that incredible comeback against Cailungo (3-2). Virtus will be without several suspended players: captain Battistini, Amati and De Lucia are all out.

Sunday’s packed schedule – five games, all kicking off at 15:00 – also features the clash between Cosmos and San Marino Academy. In Montecchio, Titans coach Di Maio faces his former club from his playing days and does so on the back of last Saturday’s fine win over Murata. However, the Gialloverdi are in good shape, riding a four-game unbeaten run and sitting comfortably in eighth place, right in the play-off zone. Selva can again call on Carubini after suspension, but will need to keep an eye on Rinaldi and Islamaj, who are both one booking away from a ban.

Domagnano are also in action, looking to build on their convincing win over Juvenes Dogana last time out. Amati’s side, currently sixth, face Murata, who remain bottom and are going through a tough spell (their last positive result dates back to 9 November). On top of that, the Bianconeri will be without suspended trio Gjyla, Tahiri and De Biagi this weekend. As well as being shown on Titani.tv, the Domagnano v Murata match will be streamed live on FIFA+.

Rounding off Sunday’s programme is the meeting between San Giovanni and Cailungo, played in Fiorentino and also kicking off at 15:00. It is a lower-table showdown between the Rossoneri and Rossoverdi, with Tognacci’s side the team in better form following last Saturday’s win over Pennarossa.

Matchday 22, however, gets underway tomorrow with three early fixtures, all scheduled for 15:00. A very evenly balanced game is expected between Fiorentino and Juvenes Dogana, who meet in Domagnano. In the table, Costantini’s side – he faces his former club – are ahead, but with only two points separating the two teams (both firmly in the play-off positions). Both sides have been inconsistent of late and are coming off a defeat in their most recent outing. For Juvenes Dogana, coach Boldrini will be without Kevin Lisi, suspended for one match by the Sports Judge.

Looking to defend fourth place are Folgore, who travel to Montecchio to take on Pennarossa. It is a very positive period for the Falciano club, who came very close last time out to handing leaders Tre Fiori their first defeat of the season. Lasagni’s team are on a four-game unbeaten run, while things are less rosy for Ricchiuti’s side – without a win since 7 December. The Biancorossi will also be missing the suspended Arlotti.

Just behind Folgore are La Fiorita, two points adrift of the Falciano side. Ceci’s men will be in action tomorrow at 15:00 against Libertas. Both come into the game on the back of excellent wins in the last round, with the Granata currently sitting in tenth place.
