Futsal Championship: Folgore and Fiorentino shine, solid debut for Juvenes-Dogana
It was another goal-filled Monday in the second matchday of the San Marino Futsal Championship. After their emphatic 8-1 win over Cailungo on the opening day, Fiorentino ran riot, hitting thirteen past Pennarossa: Nicolas Rossini and Danilo Busignani both bagged hat-tricks, Matteo Moretti and Andrea Ceccoli scored twice each, with further goals from Andrea Gasperoni, Manuel Carlini and Marino Giacobbi. Folgore also delivered again, scoring nine for the second match running: in the 9-1 victory over Cailungo the scoresheet shows a hat-trick for Massimiliano Bernardi, a brace for Matteo Chezzi, and goals from Pellegrini, Giardi and De Angelis (plus an own goal from Andrea Sammaritani); for Cailungo, the consolation goal was scored by Luca Manzaroli. Juvenes-Dogana also marked their debut with a win: after sitting out the first round, Claudio Zonzini’s side beat San Giovanni 5-1 thanks to goals from Alessandro Zonzini, Costantini, Muccioli, Gatti and Mazza. For the Rossoneri, beaten by the same scoreline in their first outing, Andrea Zonzini found the net. The same scoreline also came in the clash between La Fiorita and Tre Penne, with the Montegiardino side celebrating their first league win. After Stolfi’s first-half opener, the Gialloblù cut loose after the break with goals from Bernardi, Belloni, Giuccioli and Toccaceli. Tommy Fantini’s goal proved only a consolation in the 5-1 final score.
The remaining matches were more closely contested, starting with Domagnano–Tre Fiori, which ended in smiles for the Fiorentino-based side. The Gialloblù broke the deadlock early through Lorenzo Cecchini, and that was enough for Alex Bugli’s team to take home their first league victory. It finished all square between Faetano and Murata. Early on, the spotlight was on Omar El Lattar, who immediately put the Gialloblù in front (2') but three minutes later scored the own goal that brought Murata level. Alessandro Conti then put the Bianconeri ahead, but once again El Lattar struck – quickest to follow up after his penalty was saved – to make it 2-2, which proved to be the final score. The same result was recorded in the game between Virtus and Cosmos. Paolo Casadei’s brace inside twenty minutes was not enough for the Neroverdi, who were pegged back by the Gialloverdi thanks to goals from Giacomo Gasperoni and a penalty converted by Michele Casadei.
