League: Tre Fiori stumble as La Fiorita, Cosmos and Pennarossa stay perfect

Tre Fiori kicked off the third matchday of the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301 by slipping up in the early fixture in Acquaviva against Cailungo. The Gialloblù twice found themselves behind, first due to an own goal by Pracucci at the end of the first half and then to a powerful header by Ferrari on 52 minutes. Two minutes earlier, Gjurchinoski had temporarily levelled the score from the penalty spot. It was Michael Traini who restored full parity, beating Elia Benedettini with a firm header shortly after the hour mark. The other three sides at the top, all in action today, retained their 100% records. La Fiorita’s win was anything but straightforward, with an excellent Vivan also called into action to see off Juvenes-Dogana. The deadlock in Fiorentino was finally broken by a fully Sammarinese move, initiated by Vitaioli and finished by Rinaldi, following an assist from Pancotti. Cosmos and Pennarossa, meanwhile, both recorded another four-goal haul. The teams coached by Berardi and Farabegoli struck twice in each half against Faetano and Folgore. The Gialloverdi opened the scoring through Guidi midway through the first period and doubled their lead just before the break with Savelli. In the closing minutes, substitutes Docente and Perrotta further padded the tally. A close-range finish from the former Forlì and Rimini striker made it three, while Perrotta made no mistake in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Pennarossa were no less impressive, flying on the wings of their forwards. Farabegoli’s men effectively wrapped up the three points against Folgore inside the opening quarter of an hour, the time needed for Stefanelli and Ben Kacem to find a way past Pollini. The Moroccan forward, on target from the spot in the first half, sealed the win on 56 minutes with an unstoppable counter-attack. Two minutes earlier, Enzo Zago had celebrated for the second game running, finishing on the edge of offside. The slate of early fixtures also featured Virtus’ comeback victory. After falling behind early to a strike from Sottile, Bizzotto’s side found their matchwinner in Nicola Angeli. His volley, from a rehearsed set-piece delivered by Buonocunto, was superb. In first-half stoppage time, the experienced forward struck again to complete the turnaround, reacting quickest to a corner delivery. Rounding off the schedule for the third matchday of the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301 are the two matches to be played tomorrow in Fiorentino and Montecchio. At the Stadio Federico Crescentini, San Giovanni and Murata will both be chasing their first points of the season. Tre Penne, meanwhile, face Domagnano as they look to keep pace with the leaders – having played one game fewer than the sides above them.
