League: statement win for Tre Fiori against Virtus, Yellow and Blues back on top and three points clear

Tre Fiori put four past Virtus in the big match of the 25th league round and, thanks to this victory, move back to the top of the table on their own, three points ahead of their rivals. A real show of strength from the Yellow and Blues, who beat the Neroverdi in the league for the first time in almost four years. The tempo at Acquaviva is high from the first whistle and the first chance comes as early as the 7th minute: a fine cross from Zenoni finds Benincasa, whose close-range header goes wide. The side coached on the day by Stradaioli – standing in on the bench for the suspended Girolomoni – respond and on 11 minutes they are already in front: Rea fires on goal after Bernardi’s corner and Passaniti produces a miracle save, but on the rebound Sirri is there to make it 1-0. Virtus react and within just three minutes they manage to level: Buonocunto swings in the corner, Prandelli flicks it on, Rinaldi recycles the ball for Golinucci who turns and restores parity. Two minutes later – in a breathless first half – Virtus even try to take the lead with a precise turn from Sabato, but Nardi is alert and keeps it out. On 21 minutes, however, Tre Fiori go back in front, again from a set piece: Bernardi plays a short corner to Sami, whose cross finds Sirri, and he guides it into the far corner to complete his brace. The momentum is firmly with the Yellow and Blues and on 28 minutes they stretch their lead to 3-1: Passaniti is not blameless on Prandelli’s free-kick, which goes through the Neroverdi keeper’s hands. Virtus are on the ropes and Tre Fiori take full advantage, landing another heavy blow on 36 minutes when Benedettini’s cross from the by-line is met by Prandelli who – helped by a deflection – manages to beat Passaniti for a sensational 4-1. Things go from bad to worse for Virtus: after conceding four they also lose Passaniti – a starter today but not fully fit – who makes way for Guddo. The sides go in at half-time with Stradaioli’s team leading 4-1.

In the second half the tempo drops, but Tre Fiori remain firmly in control. Virtus are unable to get back into it, with only Piscitella managing to cause any threat around Nardi’s goal. The Neroverdi protest in stoppage time for a challenge in the area between Nardi and Scappini, but Beltrano waves play on. It finishes 4-1 to Tre Fiori in Acquaviva, with Virtus conceding four goals in the league for the first time since 2019 (a 4-2 defeat to Libertas – that day the Granata line-up also included Pesaresi, who was on the pitch today for Tre Fiori…). Now the Neroverdi also have to watch out for Tre Penne, who play tomorrow and sit just three points behind the Acquaviva club. For Virtus – suffering their first defeat of 2026 – nothing is lost, starting with next Wednesday’s second leg of the Coppa Titano semi-final against Tre Fiori (the tie is currently 0-0).

A clear win as well for La Fiorita, who have no problems against Pennarossa in Montecchio. The Yellow and Blues take the lead midway through the first half thanks to Dormi, who – after Djuric’s long pass – beats Parisi with a brilliant piece of skill and then slots past Filippo Tordella. The second goal arrives shortly before the break, with Djuric finishing off Zaccaria’s cross from inside the box. Pennarossa fail to react and the gap widens even further after the restart. On 58 minutes Semprini scores the third at the end of a sustained Yellow and Blue move. On 66 minutes there is also room for Serifoski’s first league goal – he arrived in January – as he makes the most of Affonso’s precise assist to make it 4-0. The two then swap roles for La Fiorita’s fifth and final goal, with a delicate outside-of-the-boot pass from Serifoski setting up Affonso. The Yellow and Blues keep pushing and could have run up an even bigger scoreline late on, but Tordella and the woodwork – denying Semprini – spare the Biancorossi. It ends 5-0 to La Fiorita in Montecchio, as they build ideal momentum for Wednesday’s second leg of the Coppa Titano semi-final against Juvenes Dogana. Just like their cup rivals, Boldrini’s side also hit their target of three points thanks to a narrow win over Faetano. The Yellow and Blues have an early chance, but Davide Colonna is crucial when he denies Elia, clean through on goal. At the start of the second half Juvenes Dogana increase the pressure and first Aprea scores – but from an offside position – then Riccardo Colonna is denied by the post. The winning goal arrives on 63 minutes when Merli – just on the pitch – plays a vertical ball for Aprea, who with his right foot leaves Venturini rooted to the spot. Colonna then does well again shortly afterwards, stretching to turn away Zonzini’s fine effort and preserve the result. Juvenes Dogana thus claim the win, ending a run of four consecutive defeats. Another setback for Faetano, who see the play-off places slip further away.
