San Marino Championship - 17 September 2026

League: Tre Fiori-Virtus opens matchday four, title chasers also in action

With matchday three in the books, the Campionato Sammarinese is straight back on the pitch for a new round of fixtures spread between Friday 18 September and Sunday 20. Once again it will be the “Ezio Conti” Stadium to host one of the first kick-offs of the round: on the Dogana pitch tomorrow evening at 21:15 Tre Fiori will host Virtus. A top-of-the-table clash pitting the league leaders, on maximum points after three games, against the neroverdi, fourth on seven points, with both sides still unbeaten. Girolomoni’s team go into the game boasting three players on three goals each; it will be interesting to see whether Virtus’ unbeaten defence will hold out against the league’s, for now, most prolific attack on the Titano. Also tomorrow evening at the same time, at the Fiorentino Stadium, Libertas will host Faetano. The Granata come into the fourth round on four points after a 2-0 defeat to Virtus, while Faetano, following their goalless draw with San Marino Academy, are stuck on one. The gialloblù are in fact the only side in the league yet to find the net after three matchdays. The last match of the evening, again kicking off simultaneously, will be played in Acquaviva, where Murata take on Cosmos. The Serravalle side arrive with morale lifted by the emphatic 6-1 win over Pennarossa last time out, in contrast to Tarini’s team, who are still searching for their identity.

The remaining five fixtures will be played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, all kicking off at 15:00. Saturday afternoon it will be Folgore’s turn, as they face San Marino Academy at the “Federico Crescentini” Stadium. The giallorossoneri share top spot with Tre Fiori and Tre Penne, while the Academy have collected two points from their first three outings but can point to clear signs of growth and strong performances, making this a match that one of the leaders cannot afford to underestimate. Also on the schedule is Pennarossa – Fiorentino at the Domagnano Stadium, which will be the round’s featured match on FIFA+. It’s a clash between two sides in completely different moods: on one side the Biancorossi, with the league’s worst defence, are chasing their first points, while on the other the Rossoblu will be keen to build on the positive display they produced against La Fiorita. It is in fact the Montegiardino side who will take to the field in the final game on Saturday afternoon, against Domagnano in Acquaviva, in what will be new coach Andy Selva’s debut in the dugout. This promises to be the most intriguing match of the day: Domagnano’s Wolves, who failed their latest maturity test last time out, will be eager to bounce back against this new-look Fiorita, ready to give everything in search of their first win of the season. On Sunday, also in Acquaviva, it will be Tre Penne’s turn. They will have the chance to assess the results of their fellow frontrunners and will look to extend their winning run against a Juvenes Dogana side who are still a little raw but certainly motivated to react after defeat in the derby, their second loss in a row. The round concludes with the match in Dogana between San Giovanni and Cailungo. For the Rossoverdi this is a must-not-lose clash, as they remain on zero points with just one goal scored so far.
