BKN301 Coppa Titano: first legs of the Round of 16 on the horizon

The 65th edition of the Coppa Titano, the first bearing the BKN301 name – title sponsor of the main San Marino football competitions – is ready for kick-off. Tomorrow and Wednesday see the start of the Round of 16 first legs, from which title holders Tre Fiori are exempt. Selva’s men will begin their cup campaign at the quarter-final stage, where they will meet the winners of the two-legged tie between Cosmos and Virtus. The clash between the Gialloverdi and Neroverdi is scheduled for tomorrow evening in Acquaviva (8:45 p.m.) and is the most intriguing pairing of the night. Both sides come into it after demanding league fixtures: Cosmos suffered their first defeat of the season against La Fiorita, while Virtus drew with Libertas. On Wednesday evening in Dogana (8:45 p.m.) they will both be looking to build on that momentum. Whoever comes out on top over the two Round of 16 legs will meet the winners of Faetano-Murata (Fiorentino, Wednesday from 8:45 p.m.). The Bianconeri arrive on the back of two consecutive league victories, while Faetano are still without a point this season. Turning to the bottom half of the draw, the seeded teams are Tre Penne and La Fiorita. The Montegiardino club, currently on a run of four straight league wins, will make their cup debut tomorrow evening against Fiorentino (Fiorentino, 8:45 p.m.). The winners will meet the side that emerges from the two-legged tie between Domagnano and Libertas. The Giallorossi and Granata will also face each other tomorrow evening, in Montecchio (8:45 p.m.). Also intriguing is the tie between Tre Penne and Pennarossa: both boast a 100% record in the league and will meet in the first leg on Wednesday evening in Montecchio (8:45 p.m.). At the same time in Acquaviva, Juvenes-Dogana and Cailungo will take to the field, both looking to bounce back after a league weekend that brought little satisfaction.
