Coppa Titano: second legs of the Round of 16 tomorrow
After the matches scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday (all kicking off at 20:45, live on TITANI.TV – web and app), the line-up for the 2024-25 Coppa Titano quarter-finals will be complete. La Fiorita, who enter the competition at that stage, are waiting to find out their opponents from the tie between Juvenes-Dogana and Fiorentino. The first leg was decided by a goal from Mazzavillani, which means Fabbri’s side only need a draw to go through. A narrow win for the Rossoblù, instead, would take the tie to extra time and possibly penalties. The second leg will be played in Domagnano on Wednesday at 20:45.
Already tomorrow, however, Pennarossa and Faetano will be in action. As in the first leg, the match will be played in Domagnano. The Gialloblù defend a 2-1 lead (Brisigotti’s brace and an own goal by Acquarelli) and must show they have learned the lesson from last weekend, when Pennarossa came out on top in the league. Dolci will be without Sehail, sent off in the first leg, but will have captain Michelotti back in midfield. Whoever advances will face one of the favourites for the trophy, either Virtus or Cosmos. Their second leg is scheduled for Wednesday in Dogana, starting from the Neroverdi’s narrow first-leg win, earned without the suspended De Lucia.
There is overall balance also after the first leg between Domagnano and San Giovanni, from which the Rossoneri emerged with a one-goal advantage thanks to Augusto Garcia Rufer. The second act is on Wednesday in Fiorentino. In the next round, the winners will meet either Libertas or Tre Fiori. The showdown between Sperindio and Girolomoni is set for tomorrow in Acquaviva, where the Gialloblù will start with the two-goal cushion earned in the first leg (Prandelli and Benedettini).
Tre Penne are the only team that can be considered virtually certain of qualification for the quarter-finals after their 6-0 first-leg win (a brace from Amati and goals from Nigretti, Moscardi, Cardellino plus an own goal by Gjyla). The second leg with Cailungo will be played tomorrow, again in Montecchio, where Berardi is likely to rotate his squad – also in view of Saturday’s key league fixture against Tre Fiori. Barring a major upset, the Biancazzurri will meet in the next round the winners of the showdown between Folgore and Murata. Bitti’s goal from the halfway line means the Giallorossoneri will go through even with a draw, while Sergio Grassi will be forced to do without Benedettini, who was injured in their last league outing.
All 2024-25 Coppa Titano fixtures are streamed live in full and free of charge with Italian commentary on TITANI.TV (website and app).
