Erreà and UEFA unveil the new kits created through the KAS
All ten football associations taking part in the UEFA Kit Assistance Scheme project attended the event organised by UEFA and Erreà, at which all the new National Team kits involved were officially presented. Specifically, Andorra, Belarus, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta and San Marino have also signed up to the UEFA KAS project for the next two-year cycle, a scheme first launched in 2007. The San Marino FA was represented by Federal Council member Luca Albani and by the Head of International Projects, Andrea Zoppis.
During the launch event held in Limassol (Cyprus) last Wednesday, Angelo Gandolfi – President and founder of Erreà – took the floor: "With the start of the second two-year cycle within this project, we aim to further strengthen cooperation with the national teams and make significant progress in the design and presentation of the kits. We want to take our partnership with the associations to a new level, offering innovative solutions and meeting their ever-growing expectations". Also present for Erreà was Fabrizio Taddei (Head of Global Partnership Department), and for UEFA Elena Guiguiiak (Kit Assistance Scheme Specialist) and Marios Georgiou (Head of NA Services). Acting as host was the General Secretary of the Cyprus Football Association, Phivos Vakis. As part of the Limassol event, a completely new kit was also unveiled to mark the 70th anniversary of UEFA. Produced using fabric made from recycled materials, in line with long-established sustainability goals, it may be worn by the National Teams next autumn.
San Marino’s new National Team kit has, however, already made its debut, almost simultaneously with the event in Limassol: in the match against Slovakia, the Titans took to the pitch in the revamped home kit. Next Tuesday, at the San Marino Stadium against Cyprus (18:00), it will be the turn of the away kit, in which dark blue is the predominant colour.
