Coach education: UEFA C coaching course under way
The UEFA C Grassroots coaching qualification course organised by the Coach Education Department of the San Marino Football Federation kicked off on Monday 30 September. The 23 participants gathered in the Conference Room at the Casa del Calcio to begin a journey that will run for four months, through to January 2025. Among them are two women – a very positive sign for football in San Marino.
The UEFA C Licence enables coaches to work with all age groups in youth teams in both San Marino and Italy, and is recognised and valid across all 55 national associations affiliated to UEFA. Youth football and the Grassroots game are the main areas of focus, which will be explored by FSGC tutors coordinated by Head of Coach Education Carlo Chiarabini. A wide range of activities is planned: from classroom sessions to practical work on the pitch, from study visits to clubs both within and outside the territory, through to work placements with San Marino clubs. Participants will also undertake individual and group assignments, giving them the chance to gain hands‑on, practical experience and to track their steady development over the four months of the course. It is a demanding and engaging programme that will lead up to the final examinations scheduled for next January. The San Marino Football Federation extends its very best wishes to all those taking part.
