Coach education: new course launched for goalkeeping coaches
New development in the training offer of the San Marino Football Federation, which in collaboration with the Associazione Sammarinese Allenatori di Calcio will run a course aimed at those who carry out, or intend to carry out, training activities for the role of goalkeeper at Grassroots level. The course is the first step in a broader and more structured pathway which, for those wishing to continue, leads to the attainment of the international UEFA B Goalkeeping qualification.
Made up of theory lessons and practical sessions at football facilities in San Marino, the course has a total duration of 18 hours with compulsory attendance and a participation fee of €150.00. The programme is divided into two modules, concentrated in the period between 21 April and 13 May this year. More detailed information on days and times is available online, in the section dedicated to the FSGC’s training offer (click here).
At the end of the course, a certificate will be issued to participants who have successfully completed the training pathway and their names will be entered in the FSGC coaches’ register with the qualification of "National Goalkeeping Grassroots". This title identifies those qualified to work in goalkeeper training in football schools, amateur football and other Grassroots activities, and may be required as a mandatory prerequisite – among others – for applications for admission to the UEFA B Goalkeeping course.
The deadline for registration for the National Goalkeeping Grassroots course is set for Wednesday 29 March 2023, at 19:00. Applicants must send their application for admission to the e-mail address [email protected], attaching the forms at the bottom of the announcement – duly completed ("Annex A – pages 1 and 2", click here for the editable version). The list of those admitted will be published by Official Communication by Monday 3 April 2023.
