Coach education: Chiarabini and Lepri in Nyon for the UEFA Coach Education Conference

San Marino was also among the 55 member associations taking part in the fourteenth edition of the UEFA Coach Education Conference, held from 18 to 20 September in Nyon. Representing the Titano FA at the conference were Carlo Chiarabini from the Coach Education Department and Fabio Lepri in his role as Senior Coach Educator. The core theme of the conference, staged at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland, was an integrated and collaborative approach to coaching. Five overarching topics were addressed across the three days: the role of Coach Educators, the development of women’s football, the introduction of the new UEFA Fitness diplomas, the role of the goalkeeping coach, and trends in the modern game. Statistical data was also presented – confirming the current direction of modern football – along with issues linked to new qualification requirements for European coaching licences. It represents a demanding challenge for San Marino, one that the FSGC is ready to embrace and in which it places great confidence for the future.
