Coaching: application notice for upcoming "Uefa C Grassroots" course now online

The FSGC website has published, in editable PDF format, the admission notice for the "Uefa C Grassroots" course, which will be held at the Casa del Calcio in Montecchio starting from next 26 September. Through the Coach Education Department and in collaboration with ASAC, the Technical Department has prepared all the necessary forms for those who, meeting the required criteria, wish to apply. There are twenty places available for participation in the course, which includes classroom and on-pitch sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (6.30 p.m. – 11.00 p.m.) and, in some cases, on Saturday mornings, as well as two weeks of work placement at a youth sector club under the supervision of FSGC coach educators. “The "Uefa C Grassroots" licence, states Coach Education Department Head Carlo Chiarabini, is an important step in a coach’s development pathway. It is a demanding course, and has been extensively updated in line with Uefa guidelines, enabling participants to coach all youth teams as well as the broader Grassroots game, such as veterans’ football, recreational football, etc. It is a preparatory course for entry to the Uefa B licence, in the sense that access to the latter will not be possible without having first successfully completed the Uefa C course and gained practical experience as a registered coach. In addition, holding the Uefa C qualification is the minimum requirement to take part in the ‘Uefa B Goalkeeping’ Goalkeeper Coach course that the FSGC is developing together with Uefa and which could be organised during the next sporting season.” The programme is packed with activities and new content. It will be the task of the tutors/coach educators to guide aspiring coaches along a pathway aimed at fully understanding the role, encouraging active and shared participation. Carlo Chiarabini and Fabio Lepri will be the lead Coach Educators, and they will be joined by other specialist professionals who will make a decisive contribution to the educational activities. The deadline for submitting applications is set for Tuesday 6 September.
