FSGC: Tura and Zafferani at the EURO 2024 draw in Hamburg

The President of the San Marino Football Federation Marco Tura and Secretary General Luigi Zafferani also attended the EURO 2024 final tournament draw ceremony, held in the late afternoon yesterday in Hamburg. For this important occasion, UEFA invited all affiliated associations, in addition to those representing the twenty-one national teams already assured of a place at the European Championship, which will take place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July next year. The opening match (Germany v Scotland) will be played in Munich, while the final is scheduled for the Olympiastadion in Berlin, where Italy lifted their most recent World Cup title. The last questions still to be answered concern the three teams that will complete the line-up for the group stage, coming from the play-offs next March. Twelve national sides are still dreaming of qualification; among them is Kazakhstan – a recent opponent of San Marino in the European Qualifiers – who will face Greece and, if successful, the winner of the tie between Georgia and Luxembourg. In the other four-team paths, Poland and Ukraine appear to start ahead of their direct rivals.
