Futsal, Domagnano win rescheduled match: the Wolves move up to fourth place

A second consecutive victory – both coming in midweek – for Manuel Mussoni’s Domagnano, who come from behind against Pennarossa and latch onto the chasing pack battling for third place. With Fiorentino and Folgore breaking away, ten points clear of closest pursuers Tre Fiori, the Wolves draw level with La Fiorita and Virtus on 30 points, just a single win behind Alex Bugli’s Gialloblù. All of this stems from two wins in 48 hours for Domagnano who, after Tuesday’s emphatic 7-2 success over Tre Penne, doubled up last night – again in Acquaviva – against Pennarossa. The Biancorossi went ahead on 20 minutes with a fine angled finish from Nicolas Gasperoni, but then succumbed to a furious comeback that delivered a fourth win in five matches for the Giallorossi. It arrived in the second half, starting on 43 minutes – the moment when Cavalli, picked out at the far post by Gracik, restored parity. The balance was tipped – quite literally – by the Domagnano goalkeeper. On 52 minutes Giacomo Muraccini pushed forward with the ball at his feet from his own area after intercepting an opposition move, capping his coast-to-coast run with a toe-poked finish that beat his opposite number, Guidi. In the closing spell of pressure, during which Pennarossa also opted for the flying goalkeeper but ended up taking more risks than reaping rewards, Domagnano missed the chance to land the knockout blow and were grateful for the crossbar deep into stoppage time. The Biancorossi saw their set piece routine – right on the edge of the penalty area – crash against the woodwork, to the dismay of Podeschi and his team-mates.
