Futsal, league: grand final tomorrow at the Multieventi between Fiorentino and Folgore

It will be Fiorentino against Folgore once again. Just over a month on from the Titano Futsal Cup final, the Rossoblu and the Giallorossoneri go head to head once more this season in the final act of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal to decide the champions of the Titan. Last season the final was staged on Fiorentino’s home court, and on that occasion it was the side from Falciano who lifted the trophy. Tomorrow evening – with kick-off at 21:45 – the setting for the final will be the court at the Multieventi in Serravalle, which will decide both the champions of San Marino and who will qualify for the preliminary round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League. At this afternoon’s pre-match press conference held at the Casa del Calcio in Montecchio, Fiorentino coach Matteo Michelotti is expecting a similar outcome to the Titano Futsal Cup final: “We hope to win this trophy as well. I’ve tried to transmit maximum calm to the lads in the dressing room; it’s all up to them. It will be a great match,” the coach commented, “between the two best teams of this season.” Among the Rossoblu, Andrea Ceccoli also fired up the atmosphere: “We have to play the way we know how and impose our game, even though there is a lot at stake. We’re ready for this challenge,” said the Fiorentino captain, “and we want to win. We’ll have to pay close attention in defence and strike whenever the opportunity arises.” Looking to defend the title won a year ago is Massimiliano Bernardi, Folgore’s goal-getter, who was also on the scoresheet in last season’s 3-1 victory over La Fiorita: “Tomorrow we’ll give everything; our aim is to win. We’ll need to be switched on in every phase; the details will make the difference. I’m getting used to the court surface, I feel good and we also want to entertain those who come to watch us at the Multieventi.” Edoardo Allasia also expressed optimism at the press conference, where he was present both as a player and as a club official of Folgore: “After a few absences we’re finally at full strength for tomorrow night’s match. I’m expecting a great contest; we’re in good shape at the best moment of the season. We’ll need to stay focused above all in the defensive phase – that’s where the match will be decided.” In head-to-head meetings this season, in addition to the aforementioned Titano Futsal Cup final in which Fiorentino prevailed 4-3, the league fixtures saw the reverse: in the first half of the regular season the match ended 1-1, while in the return fixture Michelotti’s side ran out emphatic 7-0 winners. Before the grand final, tomorrow evening at the Multieventi there will also be a match at 20:15 between La Fiorita and Tre Fiori to decide third place. If the scores are level after normal time, extra time and, if necessary, penalties will determine who reaches the podium. The same will apply to the final between Folgore and Fiorentino, scheduled for around 21:45 (the kick-off time may vary should the match between La Fiorita and Tre Fiori go to extra time). As for access to the Multieventi, stewarding staff will monitor entry to the stands, checking – in accordance with the venue regulations – that the limit of 400 people is respected. Once this threshold has been reached, any additional spectators will be able to go to the upper level to follow the match from behind the glass. Finally, a reminder that for the above-mentioned matches, the regulations on prohibited items – such as glass bottles – will be in force. If such items are in your possession, you will not be allowed into the stands. Admission to both matches will be completely free of charge.   A final reminder that the grand final between Folgore and Fiorentino will also be broadcast live with full commentary on the Titani.tv platform ( link to follow the live coverage: https://www.titani.tv/livestream/99516 ).
