Futsal, league: Folgore and Fiorentino are relentless

The 15th matchday of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal is beginning to take shape. Snow heavily disrupted the previous round, scattering fixtures over several days. Last night the two joint leaders, Folgore and Fiorentino, took to the court against Tre Penne and Juvenes-Dogana respectively, and both sides duly delivered victory. Another avalanche of goals from Max Spada’s team, who put nine past Tre Penne. It was, however, the side from Città who opened the scoring through Luca Manzaroli, but the giallorossoneri reacted immediately and turned it around with goals from Giardi, Ercolani and Chezzi. Just before the interval Folgore struck again through Massimiliano Bernardi, while Tre Penne attempted to get back into it with a 10-metre free-kick converted by Dinatale. It was not enough, though, as the reigning champions ran riot in the second half, scoring through Elia Pasqualini (brace), Andrea Pelliccioni and again Bernardi (hat-trick for him, taking the league’s top scorer to 31 goals) to seal a 9-2 win. Fiorentino also answered the call, keeping pace with Folgore. Matteo Michelotti’s side hit seven against Juvenes-Dogana. The rossoblu flew out of the blocks, going three goals up inside the opening minutes thanks to Andrea Ercolani and a brace from Matteo Moretti. Zonzini’s team tried to respond through Costantini’s goal, but after the break the pattern remained the same: Fiorentino added four more through Ercolani again, Cevoli, Maiani and Gasperoni to close out the contest at 7-1. Tomorrow evening will see the third “tranche” of fixtures valid for the 15th matchday. Both games will be played in Dogana: at 20:15 the round opens with Libertas vs Faetano, followed at 20:45 by Cosmos vs La Fiorita.
