Futsal, league: Derby goes to Fiorentino, Virtus and La Fiorita also win

It was a derby clearly tinged red and blue as Fiorentino got the better of rivals Tre Fiori. In the big match of the 18th matchday of the San Marino futsal league, Matteo Michelotti’s side prevailed over Alex Bugli’s men with a comprehensive 6-0 victory. Star of the night was Danilo Busignani, who scored no fewer than five goals. The red and blues broke the deadlock early on through Matteo Moretti, before two goals from the National Team striker before the interval. In the second half Busignani crowned his evening with three more goals, taking his tally to 34 and moving top of the scoring charts by one goal ahead of Massimiliano Bernardi. Thanks to this win, Fiorentino remain top of the table while awaiting Folgore, who are in action this evening at 21:30 at the Multieventi against Libertas. Tre Fiori’s slip-up opened the door for chasers La Fiorita and Virtus. The gialloblù from Montegiardino beat Domagnano 4-1 and draw level on 36 points with the team from Fiorentino. Ghiotti’s side took an early lead through Jacopo Giuccioli, but Domagnano hit back shortly afterwards with a fine free-kick from Alessio Faetanini. La Fiorita went back in front thanks to a Belloni free-kick and then wrapped it up with a Zanfino own goal and another strike from Giuccioli. Mussoni’s giallorossi thus suffer a second consecutive defeat but remain in sixth place. Virtus, meanwhile, continue their good run with a 3-0 win over Murata, climbing further up the table. The neroverdi – with a fourth win in their last five outings – now sit alone in fifth place on 34 points. They went two up in the first half thanks to goals from Paolo Casadei and Giuliano Sensoli, before Alex Pascucci put the result beyond doubt late on. Murata’s positive streak, which had lasted three rounds (two wins and a draw), comes to an end; the bianconeri, however, remain in the play-off places with a three-point cushion. Just behind Virtus and Domagnano are Juvenes-Dogana, held to a draw in the Serravalle derby by Cosmos. The gialloverdi went in front early through Michael Mauri, then in the second half Lorenzo Bacciocchi levelled for Zonzini’s side. Cosmos went ahead again on 55 minutes through Stefano Zanotti, but Simone Chezzi found the equaliser a few minutes later. As mentioned, Juvenes-Dogana remain one point behind Domagnano and firmly in seventh place, while Cosmos pick up a point but are still outside the play-off positions, now only three points adrift. There was also a spectacular draw between Faetano and Tre Penne. The match was opened by Dinatale for the biancazzurri; Faetano reacted and equalised through El Attar, but the Tre Penne player was in irresistible form and added two more goals. The gialloblù refused to give in and in the second half, first Dominella and then El Attar again overturned the two-goal deficit to seal a 3-3 final score. Tre Penne are currently in the play-off spots in twelfth place, just above Faetano, who trail by two points. A precious win for San Giovanni, who edged past Cailungo by a single goal. The winner was scored in the second half by Alberto Volpinari, allowing Gualtieri’s side to move into the play-off places. Tempers flared a little in the closing stages, with Davide Agostini and Andrea Zonzini both sent off for the rossoneri. Coach Bollini’s Cailungo suffer a fourth straight defeat and remain bottom with just 4 points.
