Futsal: Fiorentino run riot, Faetano beaten at the Multieventi
Second consecutive victory for Fiorentino, who win by a wide margin in last night’s late fixture, which closed out Matchday 8 of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal. After the 10-0 thrashing of Libertas on Matchday 7, Gianni Galli’s side followed up with another emphatic win, this time 8-0 over Elmiro Corbelli’s Faetano.
On the Multieventi court, Thomas Felici opens the scoring on 6 minutes, before the quickfire second from goalkeeper Gian Luca Geri, who begins his outstanding evening’s display. The Rossoblu keep their intensity high and in the first half add further goals from Paolo Casadei and Samuele Paoloni. Fiorentino thus go into the dressing rooms 5-0 up. After the restart the pattern does not change and the defending champions further pad the scoreline thanks to a goal from Federico Deluigi and a brace from Geri – who finishes his night with a hat-trick.
With this result, Fiorentino move into double figures in the table (10 points), while Faetano – beaten for the third time in a row – remain stuck on just one point.
