Futsal: Folgore rest, Fiorentino aiming to draw level at the top
After observing their rest day in the last round, Fiorentino are looking to reclaim top spot in the San Marino futsal league. Michelotti’s side, still with a 100% record, will try to draw level at the top with Folgore, who are also unbeaten and will sit out this seventh round of the league. The rossoblù, however, tomorrow night at 21:45 in the seventh round of the league will have to face La Fiorita, coming off two wins in a row and currently sixth on 11 points.
Also very intriguing is the clash in Dogana at 20:15 between Tre Fiori and Virtus: both are locked together on 13 points and could potentially move to within just two points of the summit. Fiorini’s side arrive on the back of three consecutive victories, while Pollini’s men have three wins in their last four (only losing to leaders Folgore): all the ingredients for a must-watch encounter.
Looking to maintain their good form and climb further up the table are Domagnano: the giallorossi Wolves have strung together three straight wins and also boast the best defence in the league (only four goals conceded, level with Fiorentino). Mussoni’s team will take on Cailungo on Tuesday evening at 21:15, with Cailungo bottom of the group and the only side still on zero points. In mid-table, the match-up between Juvenes-Dogana and Murata pits two teams eager to get back to winning ways: Zonzini’s side, after three victories to start the season, have suffered two defeats in a row, while the Bianconeri have managed just one win in their last five outings.
Tre Penne claimed their first victory in the last round and want to build on that momentum: Città’s team face San Giovanni tomorrow night at 21:45 (match to be played in Dogana). Faetano are also looking to bounce back after a good start followed by three straight defeats. Tomorrow night the gialloblù will take on Cosmos, still chasing their first win of the season (to be played in Fiorentino at 20:15). Libertas and Pennarossa are likewise seeking points to lift themselves up the table, with both sides sharing an identical record (one win and four defeats) and no draws so far. As mentioned, leaders Folgore sit this round out.
