Futsal: Domagnano back to winning ways, cup semi-finals tomorrow

After two rounds without points, Domagnano return to winning ways, doing so with a comeback on the Multieventi court. The Wolves are not particularly clinical in front of goal in the first half and, after wasting numerous chances, are forced to concede the lead to San Giovanni. The goal is scored by Michele Giacobbi, who beats Muraccini with a powerful strike that takes a slight deflection. In the second half Mussoni’s side get back on the front foot, restoring parity through Jakub Gracik. Shortly afterwards comes the goal that completes the turnaround, with a precise finish from Davide Dolcini. The latter strikes again late on, finishing a pinpoint pass from Francesco Morri, and together with Mattia Villa (set up by Gracik) seals a victory that allows Domagnano to move back above Juvenes-Dogana and close the gap on La Fiorita. San Giovanni, meanwhile, fail to match Tre Penne’s draw and Cosmos’ win, and find themselves even more deeply stuck in the lower reaches of the table. The first leg of the two derbies will be played tomorrow in Fiorentino, with the Notarpietro–Zani pairing appointed to officiate Folgore v Juvenes-Dogana, while Delvecchio and Lanuti will take charge of Tre Fiori v Fiorentino. Fiorentino goalkeeper Andrea Bollini will be suspended. The return legs will be played at the same venue on 9 March and, in the event of complete parity between goals scored and conceded over the two legs, may go beyond normal time.
