Futsal: Murata make it nine as the table stretches at the top
After the advance fixtures of Matchday 10 in the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal, a group of four has broken away at the top of the table. Murata recorded their ninth win in ten outings, staying out in front thanks to a 2-0 victory over Cosmos. It was far from a foregone conclusion for Massimiliano Spada’s Bianconeri, who finally broke the deadlock ten minutes from time through a strike from Mattioli. Ghiotti, 120" later, netted the goal that wrapped it up and kept the side from Città at the summit.
Three points back sit Pennarossa, who overturned Tre Penne’s opener from Beinat – replying through Verri, Stefanelli and Danny Gasperoni. Novembrini’s men completed the turnaround either side of half-time, before putting the game to bed midway through the second half. A further point behind the leaders are Virtus and La Fiorita, bearing in mind that the Montegiardino club are the only one among the frontrunners to have already served their rest round. Potentially second, just one point off Murata, the Gialloblù navigated the hurdle posed by Fiorentino with a clear-cut 3-0 win. The reigning champions saw their run of three straight victories come to an abrupt end, conceding all three goals after the break. Driving La Fiorita towards that virtual second place were Matteo Chezzi, Andreani and Baldelli – the latter scoring deep into added time.
Alongside La Fiorita are Virtus. The Neroverdi swept aside Faetano, coming close to hitting double figures. It was a night of hat-tricks for Pasqualini and Tassitano, with Morganti, Pazzaglia and Tamagnini also on the scoresheet. Still without a draw this season, Michelotti’s team have now chalked up their eighth win – and second on the spin – after back-to-back defeats to Pennarossa and Murata.
In Dogana, Folgore slipped to a fourth defeat in nine matches. The win for Tre Fiori was sealed by goals from Tamagnini and Michelotti, both scoring inside the opening quarter of an hour. With five minutes to go, Casali’s initiative halved the deficit for the Giallorossoneri, who were however unable to breach their opponents’ goal again. Pollini’s men claimed an important victory in the context of the race for the post-season. Just as valuable was the win for Juvenes-Dogana, who lived up to expectations by beating San Giovanni 3-1. In the second match scheduled on the Domagnano artificial pitch, it was Simone Celli who opened and closed the scoring, with a goal in each half. At the break the Biancorossazzurri were a goal to the good, having survived two minutes with a man down following Borasco’s sending-off. After the restart, Severi replied to Zonzini, while Simone Celli – as mentioned – put the seal on Juvenes-Dogana’s victory with a goal on 60 minutes.
Here is the Matchday 10 league programme, which will be completed tomorrow night with the late fixture at the Multieventi between Domagnano and Libertas:
