Futsal: late fixture goes Tre Penne’s way thanks to superb Salles
Tre Penne wrapped up 2023 in style, winning the late fixture of the twelfth matchday of the futsal league. On the Acquaviva court last night, the Biancazzurri ran out comfortable 10-2 winners over Faetano, driven by a standout performance from Chrystopher Alan Salles.
Despite an early missed penalty from Jacopo Gamba, Davide Ghiotti’s side made the brighter start and ended the first half already six goals to the good: a hat-trick from Salles, goals by Alessandro Ercolani and Gamba, plus an own goal from Giacomo Bacciocchi.
After the break Faetano tried to react through a goal from Bacciocchi, but the club from Città hit back and stretched their lead again thanks to further goals from Salles and Gamba (who was then sent off in the 48th minute for a second booking). In the closing stages Bacciocchi again found the net for Gualtieri’s side, but a rampant Salles completed his tally with a sixth personal goal, sealing the 10-2 final scoreline.
This was a third win in five outings for Tre Penne, lifting them level with Juvenes-Dogana on 18 points in mid-table. For Faetano, meanwhile, it was a fifth consecutive defeat, leaving them third from bottom in the group with just 4 points to their name.
