Futsal: Juvenes-Dogana gearing up for their opener, with the late fixture this time on Wednesday
Juvenes-Dogana’s league campaign is about to begin, as after their rest day they will face Cailungo in a very particular match-up for coach Roberto Levani, who has just left the Rossoverde side. Cailungo opened their season with a narrow defeat against Cosmos, so the first objective for the Borgo Maggiore outfit is to immediately bounce back. This clash will open the schedule at the Domagnano venue. Straight afterwards it will be the turn of Folgore and Tre Penne. Folgore opened with a win and a clean sheet against Tre Penne, who in turn were beaten by Fiorentino. Different priorities for Zonzini on one side and Ghiotti on the other: the former looking to extend the positive run started in the Supercoppa, the latter seeking his first positive result in charge of the Biancoazzurri.
At Dogana, Fiorentino are targeting two wins from two against a San Giovanni side that began their season with a 2–0 defeat to Domagnano. Also at the Ezio Conti, Murata will take on a team that, just like the Bianconeri, started with a smile: Pennarossa. It is far too early to talk about direct clashes or play-offs, but what is certain is that the points collected so far add extra intrigue to this contest between two confirmed coaches: Cellarosi on one bench, Casadei on the other.
The programme in Fiorentino will open with another clash between teams sitting on three points. Domagnano, as mentioned, beat San Giovanni 2–0, while Tre Fiori, coming from behind, claimed the scalp of La Fiorita thanks above all to the sharp form of the Burioni brothers, who scored three of the four Gialloblù goals. Bugli will be without Esposito, sent off in the late game of the last round, while Domagnano will again have to do without Villa and Lorenzo Bollini. Right after the Wolves and the Gialloblù, the spotlight in Fiorentino will switch to La Fiorita and Cosmos. Galli’s side are eager to immediately erase the opening-day defeat, while Muccioli’s men are looking for continuity after their 2–1 win over Cailungo. Still in Fiorentino, but on Wednesday 11 October, Faetano and Virtus will bring the curtain down on Matchday 2. The first points of the season are at stake for both the Neroverdi and the Gialloblù, as both teams lost their opening fixtures. Davide Gualtieri will be without Diego Mangano, sent off in the closing stages of the game against Pennarossa. Libertas sit this round out.
