Futsal: Tre Fiori run riot, Fiorita wake up, Pennarossa claim their first three points
The second consecutive win for Tre Fiori has the proportions of a rout. Bugli’s side almost hits double figures against Tre Penne, who will have to wait for better nights to get off the mark in the table. Tre Fiori effectively file the game away already in the first half, going into the break 4-0 up thanks to goals from Zanotti, Verri and a brace from Cecchini. At the start of the second half Mariotti goes on a rampage with a hat-trick that further widens the gap between the two sides. Casadei also gets on the scoresheet, while Tre Penne can only muster a very timid response through Dinatale’s strike, quickly cancelled out by Carlucci’s late goal. Tre Fiori move up to 10 points, exactly like Virtus – who play this evening against Folgore – and like Domagnano, who likewise extend their positive run thanks to victory over Faetano. The Gialloblù, for their part, suffer a second defeat on the bounce. The Wolves break the deadlock around the quarter-hour mark thanks to their goalkeeper Muraccini, who beats his opposite number Amati with a right-footed effort from mid-range. Faetano do not drop their heads; on the contrary, they level the scores at the start of the second half through El Attar. However, the number 11 is sent off in the 53rd minute. In the meantime, Domagnano had already restored their lead with Cavalli, soon joined on the scoresheet by Zanfino. In the closing stages Villa seals the fourth.
Climbing up from the rear are La Fiorita and Murata, both victorious against their respective opponents. Ghiotti’s Gialloblù return to a win that had been missing for two league rounds and three matches overall, counting the Titano Futsal Cup. Against Juvenes-Dogana – who were unbeaten and on maximum points until yesterday – Mattioli opens the scoring towards the end of the first half. Then Giucioli doubles the lead on 34 minutes, shortly before Juvenes-Dogana pull one back through Mazza. But it is not the start of a comeback; instead, it is La Fiorita who score again through Bernardi, author of the 3-1 that will stand at the final whistle and costs Zonzini’s men their place ahead of Tre Fiori and Domagnano in the standings, the latter being their next opponents in the cup. La Fiorita leapfrog Faetano, who are caught on 7 points by a Murata side that rediscover their smiles at the expense of Cosmos after two defeats on the spin. The match in Fiorentino is a lively one, immediately opened by Conti for the Bianconeri’s lead. Past the quarter-hour mark, Capicchioni doubles the advantage for Palermino’s team, who are however forced to concede 2-1 right at the start of the second half. On 40 minutes Mauri restores parity, although this lasts for a very short time. Not even 60 seconds later Della Valle puts Murata back in front; then, in quick succession, he also takes on the task of restoring the two-goal cushion. Midway through the half Esposito tries once more to reopen a contest that will, however, see no further twists.
Cosmos remain stuck on just 1 point and are overtaken by Pennarossa, who finally get off the mark in a tight head-to-head with Cailungo. At stake was the chance to climb out of the group’s “quagmire”. Casadei’s side prevail, and thanks to the 2-0 scoreline signed by Ciacci and Rosa haul themselves out of the bottom three – the dreaded spots – and draw level with the Borgo-based pair of Libertas and San Giovanni, the latter idle this round. At the opposite end of the table, Fiorentino continue their flawless run, standing alone at the top of the Single Group – at least for 24 hours – thanks to a comprehensive 7-0 win over Libertas. The scoring is opened right on half-time by Ercolani, soon joined on the match report by Ceccoli. The 2-0 scoreline remains unchanged until the final 10 minutes, when Busignani, Zafferani, Maiani and Moretti all find the net in quick succession – interspersed with an own goal by Ercolani – to secure a fifth win from five and pile a bit more pressure on Folgore, the other side still on maximum points, who are called on to respond this evening in the late fixture against Virtus.
