Grassroots Manager Development: Chiarabini and Lepri in Nyon for the UEFA workshop
A seminar dedicated to the role of Grassroots Manager was held in Nyon, at UEFA headquarters. From Monday 28 to Thursday 31 October, representatives from 15 European associations met to exchange views and discuss strategy, culture and leadership. The aim of the three-day event was to explore in depth the key attributes that a Grassroots Manager must possess in order to lead the development of football at all levels within a member association.
Representing the San Marino Football Federation were Carlo Chiarabini and Fabio Lepri, in their respective roles as Grassroots Manager and Head of the "Football and Disability" project. There was a substantial group of UEFA experts on hand to support the various activities held during the workshop, including specialists in communication, leadership and problem management: all central aspects of the day-to-day work carried out by Grassroots Managers in their own organisations. It was a productive experience that also enabled San Marino to strengthen relations with colleagues from other countries. The next appointment is scheduled for November 2025, when Lithuania will host the second round of this important and far-reaching development programme.
