Youth sector bids farewell to 2022 with the Under-12 Autumn Final

The final week of activity for the grassroots youth sector in the 2022 calendar year will not be short on emotion and enjoyment. It will also feature – as far as the U12 Autumn Trophy is concerned – the clash between Juvenes-Dogana and Fiorentino, which will decide the "opening title" of the 2022-23 season. The Under-10 teams belonging to the grassroots football centres gathered in the magical setting of San Marino Stadium yesterday afternoon, giving life to an afternoon of matches on the same pitch trodden by some of Europe and the world’s greatest footballers. Dulcis in fundo, there was a snack organised by the FA on the first floor of the Torre dei Servizi, with the special appearance of Father Christmas – generous with sweets, handed out in abundance to the stars of this opening stretch of the San Marino Under-10 season. For the youngest budding champions, those taking part in the weekly Under-8 gatherings, the date is set for Saturday morning at the Ezio Conti in Dogana – with activities similar to, and not exclusively focused on, on-pitch work which, as is only right, will certainly not be lacking. The teams registered in the Campionato Sammarinese U12 are also eagerly awaiting Saturday. Two in particular – Juvenes-Dogana and Fiorentino – will take to the San Marino Stadium turf and go head-to-head for the national autumn title. Over the ten rounds of the regular season, it was the Biancorossazzurri and the Neroarancio who stood out, collecting 41 and 40 points in the table respectively. Thus, in the event of a draw after all three periods of play, it will be the Serravalle club who lift the autumn champions’ trophy to the sky above the Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00. However, Saturday will not be a day reserved exclusively for the two teams battling for the trophy: in fact, all the other nine teams, who have enjoyed a brilliant first half of the season, will also be on the pitch from 15:00 to take part in triangular tournaments and give the best possible send-off to a 2022 that has finally given us all – and above all the young stars of the youth sector – a game free from constraints or restrictions.
