Facilities: Faetano and Montegiardino pitches refurbished

Work has recently been completed on the refurbishment of the Faetano and Montegiardino pitches, carried out by NTS Sport, involving a series of significant upgrades to both football facilities. For each, the first step was the removal of the old, worn-out surface before restoring the sub-base to ensure a solid, even and well-draining foundation. New irrigation systems were then installed, along with impact protection to safeguard players from potential collisions with the perimeter fencing. The upgrade also extended to the dugouts, thereby improving infrastructure for players and staff compared to the previous solutions. Finally, a new FIFA-approved surface was laid, complete with a performance underlay and natural infill, ensuring a high-quality playing field both in terms of match play and long-term durability. In recent weeks NTS Sport has also overseen the refurbishment of the synthetic outdoor area at San Marino Stadium. This project included several key stages: removal of the old surface, restoration of the sub-base and installation of a new FIFA-approved surface. The new system features a performance underlay and rubber infill, guaranteeing excellent performance and compliance with international standards in the area primarily used for players’ warm-ups during official matches. NTS Sport, a leading company in the sports facilities sector, specialises in the design, construction and maintenance of various types of sports venues. Thanks to its professional, cutting-edge approach, it has been able to provide tailor-made solutions that fully meet the specific needs of the San Marino Football Federation, with which the Italian company has long maintained a close partnership.
