K-Sport for the FA and affiliated clubs
Last Thursday, at the Casa del Calcio, the San Marino Football Federation organised a workshop for its affiliated clubs on the topic "Match & Training Analysis: new scientific and technological approaches". Leading the evening were Daniele Cenci and Lorenzo Vagnini, respectively Head of Sales for Italy and Business Development at K-Sport, which currently supplies wearable technologies to over 70% of Italian professional clubs. K-Sport also provides its Artificial Intelligence systems – used since 2018 and for the next five seasons by Lega Serie A to award MVPs – and counts among its prestigious clients clubs and federations such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter, Milan, the Italian national teams and world champions Argentina.
Among these is also the FSGC – for which K-Sport is a sponsor and supplier of performance tracking and GPS technologies for the benefit of the San Marino National Team. The workshop held on 22 August was an opportunity to introduce the world of K-Sport to FSGC-affiliated clubs, who were able to get hands-on experience with the latest global innovations and understand the direction in which this increasingly crucial area is heading – namely the analysis of parameters during training sessions and matches. In this respect, the data-driven approach and technological development applied to football are becoming ever more central to monitoring players’ performance, while at the same time providing coaching staff with key evaluation tools. Far from being a purely theoretical session, Cenci and Vagnini showcased numerous practical applications during the workshop. In closing, ample space was given to an exchange of views and ideas between speakers and audience, which – in addition to representatives of affiliated clubs – also included the Head Coach of the Under-21 National Team and San Marino Academy Under-22 coach, Matteo Cecchetti. He was joined by members of the FSGC Technical Committee.
