FSGC takes part in UEFA Club Licensing workshop

From 5 to 7 March, UEFA, in cooperation with the Slovenian FA, organised a workshop dedicated to the Club Licensing system, held at the Hotel Intercontinental in Ljubljana. The event brought together licensing managers from 22 participating football associations, providing an important opportunity to exchange views and receive updates on best practices in club licensing. Representing the San Marino Football Federation (FSGC) were Licensing Manager Paolo Rondelli and Deputy Licensing Manager Andrea Zoppis, who had the opportunity to share their experience with the other international delegates. The hosts were the Football Association of Slovenia, represented by Head of Executive Office, Mladen Cicmir, while among the UEFA representatives the contribution of Head of Club Licensing Department, Ales Zavrl, stood out as he welcomed the participating association delegates. One of the key moments of the event was the meeting between FSGC, the Licensing Manager of the Andorran FA, Andrea Vidal Santin, and UEFA officials. This meeting marked a further step in the Exchange Programme launched in November between FSGC, FAF and UEFA, with the aim of strengthening the development and sharing of Club Licensing strategies. On that occasion, Zavrl and David Peradalta Negre (UEFA Club Licensing Specialist) visited San Marino to learn first-hand about the incentive system created by FSGC to encourage clubs to take part in the Club Licensing programme. This model has been recognised as a best practice at European level, particularly in relation to its development potential in women’s football. For this very reason, FSGC had the honour of presenting its incentive system during the second day of the workshop. The presentation, entitled "Football and Club Licensing in San Marino: Incentive System for Clubs Affiliated", was delivered by Paolo Rondelli and Andrea Zoppis, and attracted particular interest among participants thanks to the innovative solutions adopted to support club development and promote their participation in the UEFA Licensing cycle, an essential requirement for access to European competitions. The San Marino FA thus reaffirms its commitment to improving the Club Licensing system and its determination to contribute to the development of European football, sharing ideas and projects that can also inspire other football organisations internationally.
