Michele Uva visits FSGC: pilot project with UEFA set to launch

The meeting held this morning between Michele Uva, UEFA Director of Football & Social Responsibility, and FSGC President Marco Tura at the Casa del Calcio in Montecchio lasted just over an hour. The main topic of discussion was the pilot project – about to be launched – which will focus on environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The project will be developed around eleven key areas: seven will concern human rights, while four will focus on protecting the environment. "UEFA is very pleased that FSGC immediately embraced the launch of such an important project. – commented Uva after the meeting – We are convinced that the San Marino Football Federation has all the potential and qualities needed to do an excellent job. Our hope is that both San Marino and the other countries that have already joined can act as a driving force and example for the other federations. ". The FSGC’s Social Responsibility Strategy will be developed in collaboration with UEFA and will be presented in September. Six national associations – including San Marino – have signed up to the pilot project. Uva’s morning continued with a tour of the offices at the Casa del Calcio, followed by a private audience with Their Excellencies the Captains Regent.
