Nations League, Costantini: "Different kind of game against Estonia, we want to confirm our progress"

San Marino v Estonia stirs sweet memories for the National Team of the Titano, which in the last meeting in Serravalle with the Baltic side – back in November 2014 – earned a point in Euro 2016 qualifying. Tomorrow’s clash instead will be the final match in Group D2 of the UEFA Nations League, a group Estonia will top (their 2-1 win over Malta two days ago proved decisive). Head Coach Fabrizio Costantini is not looking to the past, preferring to stay firmly focused on the present: "What happened years ago was great, but now I’m concentrating on tomorrow’s match. We know we are going through a good spell, highlighted by strong performances such as the last game against Seychelles. That match didn’t go the way we wanted, but it gave us greater belief in our own ability – something we can make the most of tomorrow as well. Against Estonia, of course, it will be a different type of game. They come here as group winners, and that alone says enough about their quality. We’ll try to harness the backing of our fans too, so we can finish this competition in the best possible way." The manager of the Titani was also asked about the team’s approach: "We’re ready and we want to go out there with the right determination. In the reverse fixture we were two goals down at half-time, but after the break we really competed and even went close to scoring. That has to be our mentality." After making his official debut against Seychelles, Alessandro Tosi is in line for a first start: "I’m happy to have made my debut with the senior National Team. It was a great feeling to pull on the biancazzurro shirt. We played a good game; it’s just a pity we didn’t get the result to go with it. Tomorrow against Estonia we’ll give everything, even though we know we’ll be facing a team very different from Seychelles." A women’s refereeing team has been appointed for tomorrow’s match, which kicks off at 20:45 at the San Marino Stadium. The referee will be Ukrainian official Kateryna Monzul, assisted by compatriots Maryna Striletska and Svitlana Grushko. The fourth official will be Anastasiya Romanyuk. On VAR duty will be the Dutch duo Dennis Higler and Clay Ruperti.
