National Team: double friendly against Saint Kitts and Nevis in March
The agreement between the Football Associations of San Marino and Saint Kitts and Nevis is now official: on 20 and 24 March 2024 at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle, for the first time a national team belonging to the CONCACAF confederation will play official matches – albeit friendlies – on the territory of the Republic.
Kick-off times are still to be confirmed, but are expected to be in the evening. For the Caribbean side, currently 147th in the FIFA Ranking, there are two previous meetings with European opponents: on both occasions they faced Andorra, playing away in the Pyrenees. In 2015 it was the Caribbean team who prevailed 1-0, while by the same scoreline – on 25 March 2022 – it was the Europeans who came out on top.
The match on Wednesday 20 March 2024 will also mark the official debut on the San Marino national team bench of Roberto Cevoli, the new Head Coach of the Titans, who was presented to the media last Saturday.
