National Team: official friendly with Seychelles on 21 September
After March’s meeting with Cape Verde, the San Marino National Team is ready for a second official friendly against African opposition. The first match after the summer training camp will in fact be against Seychelles and, unlike the previous fixture with Cape Verde which was played in Murcia – on neutral ground – the clash with the “Pirates” will take place at the San Marino Stadium. The match is scheduled for Wednesday 21 September, kick-off at 20:45.
The Seychelles National Team are currently ranked 195th in the FIFA Ranking and in March were eliminated over two legs by Lesotho (0-0, 1-3) in the preliminary round for qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Ivory Coast in 2023. Costantini’s men will face Seychelles five days before closing out their Nations League campaign, again at the Stadium, against Estonia (26 September, 20:45). The Titani will then be in action again in November with two further official friendlies, still to be confirmed.
