National Team, Costantini: "Against Seychelles we know we can do well"

A focused and determined Fabrizio Costantini met the media this evening in the press room at the San Marino Stadium ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against Seychelles. The San Marino national team coach wants his and the team’s attention solely on the imminent match, without thinking about Monday’s upcoming UEFA Nations League clash with Estonia. "It’s an exciting and stimulating match, both for us and for those who will be at the stadium. There is anticipation and also tension for this game,” said Costantini, “and we are aware that we can do well. We are coming off some excellent performances, where only the result was missing. I’m sorry every time I have to see the lads disappointed and frustrated after yet another good display. We need to start reaping the rewards of our work. The players have prepared well; I only hope they are not let down by emotion. This match,” continued the San Marino coach, “comes at the right time. Physically as well, the players are ready. Tomorrow, as in recent games, we will try to get a result. We will give everything".   Sharing the same view and equally motivated ahead of the encounter is Michael Battistini, who joined the coach at the press conference: "It’s a different kind of game from the others, there is a lot of expectation. What will be crucial is getting our mentality right from the start. There will be moments in the game when we will have to take the initiative and make the play. We must stay focused and play the way we know how." The national team midfielder is also fully focused on Seychelles: "For us, tomorrow’s game is not just a simple friendly; every match is equally important. From Thursday we’ll start thinking about Estonia." These are the players called up by coach Fabrizio Costantini for tomorrow’s match against Seychelles (kick-off at 20:45 – San Marino Stadium):
