National Team: clash with Northern Ireland in Belfast tomorrow. Costantini: "Switched on from the very start"

The San Marino National Team coached by Fabrizio Costantini arrived in Belfast this morning, where tomorrow they will face Northern Ireland on matchday seven of the Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024. Speaking in the traditional pre-match press conference at Windsor Park, the venue for tomorrow’s game, the coach of the Titani is fully aware it will not be an easy contest: "We are up against a good side who will be driven on by their fans in a stadium that will probably be full. We will have to stay focused right from the first minutes, when they will come out strong straight away. But we want to do well in one of our last away trips of the year". Since their 0-2 win over San Marino at the San Marino Stadium on the opening matchday on 23 March, Northern Ireland have lost all of their subsequent fixtures and, although a British journalist asked head coach Costantini whether this might ease the pressure on the Titani, the biancazzurro boss was quick to warn his players: "They have always shown good things even in their recent games, so we will have to be even more attentive because they will be hungry for revenge". Alongside the San Marino coach was defender Dante Rossi, who is ready for the battle at Windsor Park: "It will be a great atmosphere, but we have to stay focused. In the home match we showed some good things despite the result. We need to start on the front foot and make as few mistakes as possible. If we are perfect, we can come away with something important". The match between Northern Ireland and San Marino is scheduled for tomorrow at 14:00 local time (15:00 in San Marino) and will be broadcast live on San Marino RTV Sport (channel 93 DTT) and live audio streaming on Titani.tv.
