National Team: two friendlies with Saint Lucia confirmed for mid-November
The two official friendlies that the San Marino National Team will play in the November international window have been confirmed. For the first time in their history, the Titani will face a fixture overseas: on 17 and 20 November they will take on the Saint Lucia national team – a Caribbean side currently top of Group C in the CONCACAF Nations League, with two wins from two against Dominica and Anguilla. Those results have earned them promotion to League B of the competition and a place in the 2023 Gold Cup Preliminaries.
It will be an absolute first for San Marino, who have never before faced a Central American national team nor played outside European borders. One unknown factor will be the temperature, given that in Saint Lucia in November the mercury typically ranges between 24 and 30 degrees. The matches will be played on 17 November at 18:00 (local time) and on 20 November at 16:00 (local time). The Titani’s future opponents are currently ranked 172nd in the FIFA World Ranking.
