Youth national teams: Cancelli and Bonesso to lead U19 and U17

It will be Nicola Cancelli and Alessandro Loris Bonesso who lead San Marino’s Under-19 and Under-17 national teams in qualifying for the next UEFA European Championships in their respective age groups. Cancelli, who also coaches the San Marino Academy Primavera 4 side, will be the head coach of the Under-19 National Team. The young Biancazzurri will be in action in the Czech Republic in mid-October: in addition to the hosts, the group will also include Romania and Finland. The Under-17 National Team coached by Bonesso will have to cross only one national border. The youngest national side taking part in qualifying for a European title will face their “cousins” from Italy, who will host the mini-tournament. Completing Group 11, scheduled for the final week of October, are Greece and Northern Ireland. Bonesso, who is part of the San Marino Academy coaching staff, was recently confirmed as head coach of the Allievi Nazionali.
