Respect Cup 2025, first matchday played yesterday

The opening round of the Respect Cup 2025 kicked off yesterday afternoon in beautiful spring weather. The event, organised by the CEF, took place at the San Marino Stadium and next week – on Tuesday 15 April – the second matchday will be held ahead of the final phase. No fewer than five teams – red, light blue, blue, yellow and white – took part and battled it out, all represented by the young boys and girls in the Under-12 age group, who next year will move up into the San Marino Academy representative sides. On the first day there were eight matches played, with the five teams placed in a round-robin group. It was maximum points with three wins from three for the Blue team, coached by Mattia Rizzo (CEF) and Enrico Nicolini (Serenissima). Their first success was a 3-1 win over the Yellow team: for the Blues the goals came from Jakub Cervellini, Elia Garbellano and Daphne Aiello, while Bollini was on target for the Yellows. It finished with the same scoreline in the match against the Red team: for the Blues, goals by Simone Chiaruzzi, Daphne Aiello and Tommaso Moroni, while for the Reds it was Aymen Karoui who found the net in the 3-1 final score. The very same result came in the Blues’ third match, played against the White team: a brace from Alessandro Canarecci and a goal by Alessandro Achilli Bologna, while the Whites scored via an own goal by their opponents. Behind the Blues in the provisional table are the Whites – coached by Danilo Casadei (CEF) and Ermanno Zonzini (Cailungo) – with two wins and one defeat. In their opening match they won 3-1 against the Light Blues: for the Whites, goals from Mattia Parmeggiani and a double from Francesco Biordi, while for the Light Blues it was Thomas Cavalli who scored. In addition to the 3-1 defeat against the Blues, the Whites also claimed a narrow win over the Reds: 1-0 thanks to a goal by Mattia Raschi. One win and two defeats for the Light Blue team, coached by managers Michael Lotti (CEF) and Michele Del Mastro and Elisa Farina (both of San Marino Academy). Their only victory came against the Yellow team thanks to a goal from Gian Marco Capicchioni. The Yellow team, coached by Armando Amati (CEF) and Massimo Vagnetti (Serravalle Football Academy), finished with the same record (one win and two defeats). In their 4-2 victory over the Reds, the goals were scored by Michael De Luigi (brace), Nicola Muccioli and Filippo Dini. On the scoresheet for the Reds were instead Bastian Hirsch and Matteo Randazzo. Propping up the table for the time being are the Reds – coached by managers Filippo Fabbri (CEF) and Paolo Tarini (Titano Academy) – with one win and three defeats. Their victory came in the match against the Light Blues, 2-1: for the Reds, goals from Alessandro De Marini and Aymen Karoui, while for the Light Blues it was Gian Marco Capicchioni who found the net.
