Agreement between FSGC and San Marino Language High School renewed

The collaboration between the Football Federation and the Upper Secondary School of San Marino will continue in 2024. The partnership began in 2013 and, during a meeting yesterday between FSGC President Marco Tura and the project managers, the agreement was renewed for the whole of next year. Over the years, many students from the Liceo Linguistico have been involved in numerous international activities, both abroad – for example during National Team away matches – and on home soil. "This collaboration,” comments head teacher Giacomo Esposito, Principal of the Upper Secondary School, “is part of a coherent project of increasing internationalisation. These experiences are an integral part of our educational programme, allowing us to engage with high-profile contexts such as international football competitions. We strongly believe in this project, which can spark curiosity and openness towards other environments. We have seen that it has proved to be a highly rewarding and qualifying experience for those who have taken part in it." "It is an opportunity for the students to test themselves and to make the most of what they learn at school,” agree teachers Angela Garufi and Monica Fascette, who are in charge of the project. “In the post-Covid period, participation has increased, a sign that the programme is working. The consistently excellent organisation of the Football Federation, with thorough briefings, also provides the students with valuable professional experience." The extension of the agreement was also welcomed by FSGC President Marco Tura, who attended the meeting: "We are pleased to have renewed this collaboration. It is a project we care deeply about and it is aimed at our young people in San Marino. It also gives us the opportunity to involve people who are not already part of our football community. And there is the possibility, as has happened in the past, that some of them may one day become part of our Football Federation family. In the future, we would also like to broaden our horizons – while respecting school commitments – by involving participants in other youth-focused areas of our activity, which are increasingly engaged at international level."
