UEFA Playmakers restarts with Inside Out 2

The next Disney animated film to support the UEFA-affiliated European football associations in the upcoming cycle of UEFA Playmakers will be Inside Out 2. The project, dedicated to the development of women’s football, has recorded impressive figures in terms of participation and in getting girls involved in the world’s most popular sport. Statistics compiled by Leeds Beckett University show that 73,000 girls from across Europe have taken part in UEFA Playmakers since it was launched in 2020. The aim is to offer a healthy, safe, fun and non-competitive environment in which to experience football for the first time, through the stories of Disney animated films – which have the power to engage and bring people together. The figures recorded in San Marino have been more than positive. Over the previous four years of the project, 154 girls have joined UEFA Playmakers – a programme that 97% of San Marino parents whose children took part would strongly recommend. It has also been valuable from a technical perspective, with 11 coaches trained within UEFA Playmakers over the course of the 12 sessions organised in the first four-year cycle. The new UEFA Playmakers cycle in San Marino will kick off on 10 September 2024 at the Ezio Conti Stadium in Dogana. The sessions will then continue for the following seven weeks, always on the same day and at the same venue.
