"Roma Caput Mundi": CR Lazio stun San Marino 4-0

Clear-cut win for Lazio on the second matchday in Group B of the international tournament "Roma Caput Mundi". The regional representative side broke the deadlock against San Marino's U18 national team in the 3rd minute, then doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time through Pescicani. After the interval, Maccari extinguished the Titans' hopes of a comeback, before De Montis sealed the final 4-0 scoreline in the 69th minute. In the other fixture in the group, Prostars FC beat Wales 3-2 in a rollercoaster of emotions. Pritchard opened the scoring on 15 minutes and then completed his brace in the 38th minute – his second goal making it 2-2 after Vani had turned the game around with two goals in as many minutes. The match was decided ten minutes from time, with the Canadians’ winner scored by Cabral. The race for a place in the final is still wide open, with the Titans going through if Prostars FC defeat CR Lazio and they themselves beat the Welsh selection, whom Bonesso’s side will face on 2 March in Veroli. In Group A, Italy LND take a firm grip on a place in Friday morning’s final, defeating English College FA 2-0. A goal in each half, from Torri and Grieco, lifts the Azzurrini to six points from two matches. In the other game, Sutjeska Niksic edged past Greek side EPS Pellas and will now play Italy LND on Thursday in a direct showdown for a place in the final.
